Professor
General Chemistry; Organic Chemistry; Advanced Organic
Chemistry
Research projects in the group have involved two areas: 1)
development of new synthetic methods in organic chemistry and 2)
pedagogical research to improve science education. In the area of
chemical research, the Choe group has concentrated efforts on two
projects. The first project involves the development of nitrile
and formyl transfer reactions using radical chemistry and the
second project investigates methods for selective deprotection of
carbohydrates.
