The
Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Loyola Marymount University invites applications at the rank of Assistant Professor,
beginning Fall 2010. Candidates with a Physical Chemistry background who are
capable and willing to conduct multi-disciplinary research are highly desired,
however outstanding candidates in all areas will be considered. A PhD in
chemistry, biochemistry, or closely related field is required. The successful
candidate is expected to teach General Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and
courses in his or her specialty at the undergraduate level. In addition to
excellent teaching, the successful candidate is expected to establish an active
research program that will include undergraduate students, exposing them
to current chemistry research techniques.
