LMU Coastal Research Institute
The Loyola Marymount University Coastal Research Institute (CRI) brings together expertise from LMU Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering and The Bay Foundation to restore and enhance Santa Monica Bay and local coastal waters. The institute contributes to a better understanding of global urban coastal resource management through the execution of projects that stem from The Bay Foundation's work on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Santa Monica Bay National Estuary Program.
CRI Interns Support Dune Restoration
Students from LMU Seaver College spent six weeks monitoring and surveying sand dune habitats across various Los Angeles County beaches through the LMU Coastal Research Institute, a partnership between Seaver College and The Bay Foundation.
