The LMU Seaver Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) is a summer experience for first-year students studying computer science or related STEM fields. Students who are the first in their families to pursue a four-year degree or have a high financial need are strongly encouraged to apply. No prior programming experience is needed to participate.
Elements of LMU Seaver CSSI
Virtual Summer Programming
- Three weeks of technical instruction and team-based project development.
- Soft-skills development, interviewing and resume writing workshops, and team-building activities.
- Interaction with LMU computer science alumni working in the tech industry.
2025 Program Dates
Three weeks online TBD, with on-campus activities on August 20th and August 21st.
Priority Move-In
LMU Seaver CSSI students will have the opportunity to move into their permanent housing assignment on the first day of student move-in. This gives students the opportunity to get together and participate in group activities before the semester begins.
