The LMU Seaver Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) is a summer experience for first-year students studying computer science or related STEM fields. The program is designed for members of underrepresented or historically marginalized groups in computing (including women, first-generation or low-income college students). No prior programming experience is needed to participate.
Elements of LMU Seaver CSSI
Virtual Summer Programming
- Three weeks of technical instruction and team-based project development.
- Soft-skills development, interviewing and resume writing workshops, and team-building activities.
- Interaction with LMU computer science alumni working in the tech industry.
2023 Program Dates
July 17th - August 4th
Early Move-In
LMU Seaver CSSI students will have the opportunity to move in early to their residences on August 23rd, 2023. The early move in date gives students the opportunity to get together and participate in group activities before the semester begins.
