The Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) Extension program is a summer experience for first-year students studying computer science and related STEM fields. Like the Google CSSI Program run at Google sites, this program is designed for groups underrepresented in computing (i.e., women, underrepresented minorities in STEM, and first-generation or low-income college students).

"CSSI introduced me to an amazing community of people, which I'm super grateful to be a part of - it warms my heart to see familiar and friendly faces on campus! I'm so grateful to have been a part of CSSI, and I am very excited to see where CS will take me!"

"The most important benefit that I received from this program was not necessarily the skills that I gained, but rather the people that I met. These outstanding people made adjusting to college life an easy and smooth transition, and they will be my best friends for years to come.”
