SOAR 10-Year Anniversary Celebration

Join us for a poster session celebrating a decade of the Summer Opportunities for Advanced Research (SOAR) program at LMU Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering. For ten years, SOAR has empowered undergraduate students to engage in immersive, faculty-mentored research, fostering innovation, discovery, and academic growth.

The SOAR program provides funded opportunities for Seaver College undergraduates to participate in hands-on, faculty-mentored research during the summer. Students engage full-time in rigorous research projects, developing critical thinking and analytical skills while contributing to meaningful scholarly work. Over the years, SOAR scholars have explored projects across disciplines — from engineering and computational research to environmental science, health, and emerging technologies — preparing them for graduate study, careers, and leadership.
