John Anagnost, Ph.D.

John Anagnost, Ph.D. is an Engineering Fellow with over 35 years of experience in aerospace engineering, specializing in electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) space systems. A nationally recognized expert in line-of-sight systems and space imaging sensors, he has served as technical director and chief engineer on major programs for Raytheon, including DARPA’s Blackjack and the Next Generation SBIRS missile warning sensor. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to more than $2 billion in new business and holds multiple U.S. patents in inertial instruments, control systems and precision test equipment.

Anagnost currently serves as Principal Investigator at NewBridge Partners, leading advanced sensor development projects for the U.S. Army and NASA. He earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and both his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering from UCLA.
